Improving wear and corrosion resistance in different specimens has always been importantly considered, and various methods are widely used such as selection of suitable materials for pieces or the application of coatings which reduces the erosion. On the other hand, the beauty of the components and equipment used in residential and office buildings (such as sanitary valves, handles and cabinet fittings), household goods such as oven, as well as bags and shoes fittings, is also important. Moreover, color is the most important feature of the decorative coatings. The most well-known hard decorative coating is TiN. Applying TiN coating on a smooth substrate, provides an attractive finish and brings a high hardness and wear resistance. This yellow coating is applicable on metal surfaces such as titanium, steel, aluminum, brass and Zamak.
